Building Chords on the Tones of a Major Scale

To be an effective arranger, you must know the relationships between chord and scales. Triads built on the step of major and minor scales are the foundation for jazz harmony and jazz theory.

This video covers the basics for learning the qualities of the chords that can be built on the tones of the major scale. You will learn both the chord symbol notation for these chords as well as how they are notated from a music theory perspective using Roman numeral notation.
